Swap Box continues to thrive in Fredrikstad – 26.05.2026

Fredrikstad now has its second Swap Box! Following the success at Borgehallen, a new Swap Box has opened at Lisleby Community House, making it even easier for residents to share, reuse and discover useful items, completely free of charge.

The response to the first Swap Box has been fantastic. People are actively using it, giving away things they no longer need and finding treasures that others can put to good use. Its growing popularity shows that circular solutions really work when they are easy, accessible and community-driven.

The new Swap Box at Lisleby marks another exciting step forward in creating a more sustainable and resource-smart Fredrikstad. Instead of throwing away perfectly usable items, residents can give them a second life, reducing waste while helping others at the same time.

This initiative has been made possible thanks to the TREASoURcE project. We are proud to see Fredrikstad leading the way with practical solutions that promote reuse and strengthen local communities.
